Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Ball Boi Tennis ("Ball Boi," "we," "us") for using the Ball Boi app and website. By using Ball Boi, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Ball Boi.

Who can use Ball Boi

• You must be 18 or older.
• Ball Boi is offered in the United States.
• You can't use Ball Boi if we've previously banned you.

Your account

Keep your sign-in secure and your profile accurate, including your name, photo and rating answers. You're responsible for what happens on your account. One account per person.

Community rules: zero tolerance

Ball Boi has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. These rules apply everywhere in Ball Boi, including messages, Message Requests, league chat, Open Match posts, profiles, photos and court suggestions. You may not:

• Harass, threaten, bully, stalk or demean anyone.
• Send or post sexual, violent, hateful, discriminatory or otherwise objectionable content.
• Send spam, scams, ads, or repeated unwanted messages.
• Use Ball Boi to arrange anything other than tennis.
• Impersonate someone, create fake accounts, or misrepresent your rating or age.
• Submit false scores or manipulate ratings or standings.
• Record people secretly, or misuse anyone's recordings or personal information.
• Break the law, or interfere with, copy, scrape or reverse engineer Ball Boi.

You can report any player, message or post, and block anyone. We review reports within 24 hours. We use automated tools and an AI assistant to help catch abuse, and people make the final call on suspensions and bans. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, with or without notice. If you think we got it wrong, you can appeal once by emailing us.

Recording matches

• Only record matches you're playing in, and make sure the other players know they're being recorded.
• Follow the rules of the court or club you're playing at, and any local laws about recording.
• Stop recording if another player asks you to.

Meeting other players

Ball Boi helps you find people to play with, but we don't run background checks or verify identities. Use good judgment: meet at public courts, tell someone where you're going, and leave if you feel unsafe. Report anyone who makes you uncomfortable. Tennis is a physical sport, and you play at your own risk.

Ratings, stats and replays

Ball Boi Ratings, shot detection, in or out calls, stats and simulated replays are estimates and can be wrong. Calls we're unsure of are labeled "Close call." Don't rely on Ball Boi to settle official match results or disputes. Ball Boi isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the USTA, UTR or the ITF.

Ball Boi Pro

• Leagues, Find a Matchup, messaging and player cards are free.
• Ball Boi match analysis is free for 3 months starting from your first recording. After that, it requires a Ball Boi Pro subscription, currently $5 per month or $40 per year.
• Subscriptions are purchased through Apple and renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple account is charged at renewal.
• Manage or cancel anytime in your Apple account's subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
• If your subscription ends, you keep your existing stats, history and recaps. New matches won't be analyzed until you subscribe, and saved matches waiting for analysis are deleted after 30 days.
• We may change prices. We'll tell you in advance, and changes apply at your next renewal.

Your content

You own the content you add, including messages, photos and recordings. You give us permission to store, process, analyze and display it as needed to run Ball Boi, including showing your player card and highlights to other players. If training is on, you also allow us to use your match video to improve our shot tracking, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can turn training off anytime. You confirm you have the right to share what you upload.

Apple App Store

If you got Ball Boi from the App Store, these terms are between you and Ball Boi, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for Ball Boi or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance. Apple isn't responsible for any claims about Ball Boi, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You also agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and if it conflicts with these terms, these terms apply to the extent allowed.

Ending your use

You can stop using Ball Boi and delete your account anytime from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect other players. Sections that by their nature should survive, like disclaimers and limits on liability, continue after your account ends.

Disclaimers

Ball Boi is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of ratings, stats and calls. We're not responsible for the conduct of other players, on or off the app.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ball Boi won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for injuries or losses arising from matches or meetups. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Ball Boi after that means you accept the updated terms.
